For as long as I can remember, venturing to new places has excited me. The promise of new sights, unfamiliar sounds, and experiences waiting to unfold always stirs something in me and renews my hope. Every trip leaves its mark by shaping how I see the world and, in some small way, who I am.
For a long time, I hesitated to share these moments. The internet is brimming with travel stories, after all. But the truth is, my voice and my way of experiencing the world hasn’t found its place out there, yet. So, this blog/travel journal is my way of doing just that.
I’m not someone who’s been to every country, climbed Everest, or ticked off every dream on my bucket list. I work a 8-5 job, I live in the city with my partner and dog, and enjoy many “granny” activities to pass the time. But I have wandered through cities both far and near, hiked trails that took my breath away, and found joy in weaving travel into the rhythm of my life.
Here, you’ll find stories from my adventures, both past and present; moments of awe, connection, and discovery. You’ll also find reflections on how travel helps me reconnect with myself and how that feeling can be carried home, whether through a lingering memory, a creative project, or even a quiet moment in the garden.
So this is me doing the damn thing and putting it out into the world. I hope these stories will resonate with you, brighten your day, or spark your own sense of wonder. The world still holds beauty, even in the smallest details. It’s out there, waiting for you to notice it so you can feel that flicker of hope again, even just for a moment.
